MEET TEAGAN WHITE
“With life’s greatest challenges comes the opportunity
for a greater purpose.”
I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from St. John Fisher University and have completed intensive training in EMDR. I’m currently in the certification process with ongoing clinical consultation and advanced coursework. Additionally, I’ll complete my Certified Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) training through Postpartum Support International in June 2026.
My work integrates nervous system regulation, parts work (IFS-informed), EMDR and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients resolve what feels stuck — in the mind and in the body. This approach allows for safety, insight, and lasting change.
Outside of my practice, I enjoy spending time outdoors, swinging kettlebells (for my mental health!), snowboarding and spending time with my family and dog, Maisie.
I’m Teagan — a mental health counselor and doula specializing in perinatal mental health, trauma, parts work, and nervous system healing based in Rochester, NY.
I’ve always known I belonged in the therapist’s chair — it just took me time to listen to that internal nudge. My path into this work wasn’t linear, and I’m grateful for that. Before becoming a therapist, I spent several years in advertising and later in executive leadership at a family-owned company. That experience gives me a grounded perspective on systems, relationships, and the challenges people face in the real world.
I was called to birth work and perinatal mental health after struggling to conceive my daughter, experiencing her birth and navigating our after care. Supporting individuals (LGBTQ+ and BIPOC ally!) and couples with infertility, individuals with anxiety and depression during pregnancy and/or postpartum, and those with birth trauma is truly an honor.
My work integrates three evidence-based pillars designed to help you move from survival to self-connection:
