FAQs
What is the investment?
My fee is $125 per 60-minute session. Payment is due at the time of service.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance. This allows me to keep your mental health information fully private and secure, without sharing diagnoses, treatment details, or progress notes with insurance companies. It also allows us to determine the frequency, length, and focus of treatment based on your needs rather than insurance limitations.
Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?
I see clients in person at my Rochester office and virtually through secure telehealth for individuals located anywhere in New York State.
What is your cancellation policy?
Because your session time is reserved exclusively for you, I ask for 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations made within 24 hours — or missed sessions — will be charged the full session fee. This policy allows me to offer consistent availability and respect the time and needs of all clients.
How does treatment work? What can I expect?
Therapy begins with an initial session where we explore your goals, your history, and the patterns you’d like to understand or change. From there, we work collaboratively to determine which modalities will best support your healing, which may include:
Nervous system regulation — building safety and internal capacity
Parts work (IFS-informed) — understanding protective patterns
EMDR — reprocessing experiences that feel stuck
Sessions typically include a combination of discussion, insight, and experiential work. You set the pace, and we check in regularly to ensure the process feels safe, supportive, and aligned with your goals.
Where are you licensed to practice?
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State. Due to licensing laws, I can only see clients who are physically located within New York at the time of their session.
What are your session hours?
I offer appointments Monday through Thursday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM EST. The first available session begins at 9:00 AM, and the final session of the day begins at 4:00 PM.
How do I know if we’re a good fit?
The therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest predictors of positive outcomes, so it’s important that you feel comfortable, understood, and supported. In our initial sessions, we’ll explore your goals, your history, and what you’re hoping to shift or heal. If I believe another therapist or approach would better serve your needs, I will always share that openly. My priority is that you receive the right level of care at the right time — even if that means referring elsewhere.
Do you offer EMDR-only sessions?
Yes. If you are primarily interested in EMDR, we can structure our work as short-term, focused EMDR sessions designed to address specific memories, patterns, or experiences that feel “stuck.” We’ll spend time preparing your nervous system, identifying targets, and determining whether EMDR is the most appropriate intervention for your goals.
Can I do EMDR if I’m already working with another therapist?
Absolutely. You can come to me specifically for EMDR while continuing ongoing therapy with your primary provider. This is a collaborative model where your therapist and I work together to support your healing. I focus on the EMDR component, and your therapist continues the broader work, ensuring continuity and stability in your treatment. This approach is especially helpful when trauma processing is needed to move past blocks in ongoing therapy.
